Well, it seems the live-journal cross-poster doesn’t work so well with nextgen gallery.
I had to go over to livejournal and hand edit the last post make it sane, which isn’t going to help in the long-term. This might be the last cross-posted entry for the time being whilst I search for a solution.

I bought a new Mac Pro and with it a LaCie eSATA card so I could connect a SATA Dock to allow hot-swapping of backup drives,
But, guess what, the drivers aren’t compatible with Snow Leopard despite the pretty product page stating “v10.4.5 or later”.
So, I query LaCie support who manage the the entirely lame
We are aware of compatibility issues with the LaCie eSATA PCI Express Card and Snow Leopard. At this time the latest update available is from 07 Jul 2008 and no current ETA as to when an update will be made available.
And then rather disingenuously suggest rebooting might be required.
All they need now is to suggest turning it off and on again and this bingo card is full.

and that’s the blog migrated to a new host and different picture gallery plugin.
I’ve corrected image links on this year’s posts over on livejournal, but the older ones will have to stay broken for the time being.
And now an edit to see if the cross-posting works again.

Spent a day this week with friends photographing leopards in a private reserve in North Herts. Organised through Photographers on Safari four of us had the place to ourselves to photograph to our heart’s content. Our guide, John Wright, gave us hints and tips all day, luring the cats into photographically convenient paths to let us capture what we could. With occasional breaks where we reviewed the previous shots and took further advice it was a wonderful day and a rare chance to get really close rather than have to deal with the enhanced safety measures at a public park.
Despite coming away with many hundreds of shots very few are really worth keeping except as an object lesson to myself in how I get things wrong. That said, some of them are really nice, a few can be found below.
